'I have such a simple process—it takes me, like, ten minutes to get ready. Like if I have a class at 10 AM, I’ll set my alarm for 8:15, snooze until 8:30, and be out my door by 9:00—and I’ll have eaten, had a coffee, watched NY1. I don’t take such good care of my skin; my mom kills me about it…I sit in the sun so much. I love a tan. I wear NARS Casino every day—it’s the best bronzer ever. I put it on with this huge brush from Duane Reade. I don’t have such good light in my bathroom so I keep all my makeup in this drawer in my bedroom and do it in here.

I share a bathroom with two of my brothers, so I’ve become an expert at leaving my tracks un-traced. I wash my face with Cetaphil, and use Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer. That’s all I do for my face, usually. And then I wear the NARS bronzer, and their Desire blush. Their products are really so good—their eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks. I haven’t been wearing mascara lately because I’ve really been taking a liking to doing a bright red lip, and you can only do a red lip if you have nothing else on your face, I think. And I have big lips, so it’s a lot of red! I’m loving the Lancôme ones, the Color Design Matte lipsticks in Posh Pink and Red Haute. Or, sometimes I’ll do a cat eye and nothing else—with a Lancôme liquid liner. That’s pretty much my makeup. I never put anything under my eyes, like eyeliner or mascara, because I have huge bags and it always accentuates them. It’s a genetic thing. You can have them drained, but I’m not going to do that. [Laughs]

I just got my hair ombré-d, with Zoe at Bumble and bumble. She’s so good. It was the first time I’d colored my hair, and she totally talked me through it, like, ‘Now I’m putting the needle in!’ [Laughs] I’m obsessed with their products too. Bumble and bumble and Moroccan Oil, and that’s all I do for my hair.

I love manicures—I’m really into colorful nails. I keep them super super short—I always cut them before I go to the nail place because they can never cut them short enough. I always do a crazy color, and it looks so tacky on long nails. This is Coat Azure by Essie; it’s the second time I’ve done it, it’s really cool. Last week I had this bright green on— Essie Pretty Edgy—and I looked like a leprechaun. They have a darker green, too— Going Incognito—that looks like a Starbucks cup. Oh and OPI has an awesome color called Birthday Babe that looks like the metallic Minx nails; I do that a lot too because it looks cool with all my jewelry. I kind of want to ombré my nails next. I also want to do one hand one color and one hand another color. Maybe for the next manicure.

I’m also really into fragrance—I hate when I leave home without perfume on. I wore Chance exclusively for three years, and then I recently got into Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermes. It’s alcohol free—that’s why it looks kind of milky—so unfortunately it rubs off kind of fast. But I love the way that scent reminds you so vividly of a certain moment in time, you know? So whenever I wear Chance, I feel like I’m a senior in high school. And the Un Jardin reminds me of the summer. I buy all my perfumes duty free—I think people are fools not to.”
